A flycatcher showing diligent parenting skills

00:54

Several flycatchers were recently spotted feeding their chicks in the forests of Jixi County, Anhui Province, in eastern China.

Birds come to the county each May to nest, mate and breed. They do not leave the breeding nest and wintering grounds until July, when the chicks are able to fly long distances.

Male birds are either white or reddish-brown with long tail feathers, while females are only reddish-brown morphs with relatively shorter tails than males.
