Alice in the Land of Dairy Selected

Ashley Hegenau of Poinet, Wisconsin was recently named Wisconsin’s 76th Alice in Dairyland in the Alice in Dairyland Finals on May 13 in Walworth County. She will begin her term on July 5th. She will succeed Taylor Schaefer, 75th Alice in Dairyland of Franksville, Wisconsin.

As Alice in Dairyland, Hagenau will work for one year as a full-time communications specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. She intends to educate the public about the Wisconsin agricultural industry.

Hagenau plans to graduate in May 2023 from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Agricultural Communication and Marketing. She also has minors in Animal Science and Agriculture and Food Business Management.

Hagenau was active in 4-H and FFA. Throughout her college years, she participated in the American Agricultural Future Association, National Agrimarketing Association, Gopher Dairy Club, University of Minnesota Dairy Challenge and Dairy Review Team. She has also had various internships at CHS, Curious Plot Marketing Agency, CLUTCH Marketing Agency, Progressive Dairy and World Dairy Expo.visit Alice in Dailyland.com for more information.
