Seen & Heard: Fashion Squad School Adds Another Location

Fashion Squad School Expands to CT
The Fashion Squad School, founded by Tribecan Layana Aguilar, will open a second location this year in Greenwich, Connecticut.She moved her Tribeca studio out of Hudson to Warren in September 2021Layana also just received a Trailblazer Award from the Tiffany Brown Foundation during Fashion Week. Brown is a fashion designer and philanthropist, whose non-profit organization provides young women with guidance and work in the fashion industry.

Installing GEO on Broadway
Downtown Alliance has a new installation titled ‘Geo’ by design studio Hou de Sousa. This is his massive 30-by-10-foot dome filled with brightly colored ropes that create a corridor for visitors to walk through. The installation is located in Liberty’s plaza in front of his 140 Broadway, right next to Noguchi’s Cube.
