Conference Launches to Guide Memphis Girls and Teach Life Skills | News

MEMPHIS, TN – Girls Life Academy Memphis (GLAM), a program by the Tarik Black Foundation (TBF), will be available to Memphis girls to be taught life skills.

Judith Black Moore is the director of the Tarik Black Foundation, who registers teenage girls aged 15 and over for a two-day conference.

“In getting to know young people, I’ve met girls in our community who I’m afraid have gone horribly wrong. They’re younger than ever, with negative consequences in life.” Engaging in possible behaviors, so many people lack self-awareness and spend more time focusing on unimportant things than important things. social interactions, attitudes towards money, health habits and overall outlook for the future,” said Judith Black Moore, President of TBF. “This two-day conference of his has been carefully designed to touch on many issues and do so in a unique way.

There are discussions about young women’s social, emotional, well-being, self-awareness education, menstrual care, skin care, personal safety, and social media use.

The event costs $5, and scholarships are available to help girls who can’t afford to attend.

The dates are June 2nd and June 3rd.
