Today, the mayoral marching campaign officially kicked off. Extratable’s Mayors’ March is his four-week-long event that gathers groceries to combat food insecurity along the coast.
Hancock Whitney is the Gulf Coast Regional Sponsor of the 11 Mayors who agreed to participate in the food drive.
Each coastal city is assigned specific items to collect, and items collected during the month of March will be distributed directly to local food pantries and soup kitchens. Extra Table Executive Her Director Martha Allen said: Just knowing that there are so many hungry people in each of our communities allows their voices to join forces and fight. ”
There will be a boxing party on March 30th at 9:30 amth Box up all the items you collect at the Lyman Community Center.
