LOU Los Olivos recently opened at 2938 San Marcos Avenue in Los Olivos.
From coordinating Chanel runways and Grammys after-parties to opening new stores, owner Rianna Drummer and fashion have an inseparable bond.
“Fashion is my passion,” she says, and her extensive experience proves it.
Mrs. Drummer is the owner of LOU Los Olivos, a newly opened boutique in Los Olivos. Mrs. Drummer told the news press that she has a lot of “chic” and “attractive” merchandise in her new store.
“When I thought about what kind of store I wanted, I thought of a wealthy woman’s closet in Paris,” explained the fashion icon.
Mrs. Drummer has over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. Her shopkeeper, who grew up in the San Ynez Valley, said her grandmother was one of her first influences.
“My grandmother was a seamstress. As a child, she would make me dresses and dresses to fit my dolls,” explained Mrs. Drummer. She “has been influenced by her grandmother from an early age.”

Mrs. Drummer moved from New York to Los Angeles several times as she pursued her career in the fashion industry. She first moved to New York knowing she “had something more appealing to her.” Ultimately, she found the level of charm she was looking for and her fame.
By 1997, Mrs. Drummer was working in the fashion department of Merv Griffin Event Productions.
“I was doing shows for Chanel, Michael Kors when he was designing Celine, Tom Ford when he was designing Gucci. And I was very happy that I was able to show my true potential.”
Mrs. Drummer has only scratched the surface of her prolific career, working at Victoria’s Secret, New York Fashion Week, and high-profile award ceremonies.
“When I was in Merv, I not only put on really big fashion events, but I also produced Oscar, Emmy and Grammy after parties,” she said.
Mrs. Drummer explained that while her career has been fruitful so far, her next journey is to focus on her family and inspire her local community with her stylish creations.
“Being a mother is the greatest gift in the world,” said Mrs. Drummer.
When asked about the new boutique’s name, “LOU Los Olivos,” Mrs. Drummer explained why and the heartfelt meaning behind it.
“That name is really special to me. I didn’t have a girl, but the store gave birth to a girl instead! That’s why I named the store LOU.”
Regarding the newly opened store, Mrs. Drummer wants customers to be inspired and motivated to dress up when shopping at her store. I want you to look at my clothes and get inspired to dress up. ”
Coming out of a pandemic where sweatpants and sweatshirts were the range of clothing, Mrs. Drummer wants to motivate her clients to dress up and enjoy the process as much as she does.
Mrs. Drummer’s store stocks many luxury brands and designers to appeal to your chic and fashionable closet. These designers include Gemma Stiles, Migrina, Sault de Mal, Bonnie Starr and Louis Berdad. Louis Berdad offers capsule collections specifically for her stores.
“My friend Louie Berdad, who sold to Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, created a capsule collection just for my store,” the owner explained.
“I’ve done a few shows for him in the past and have a really special relationship with him. I love all of his designs.”
Mrs. Drummer explained that designer Louis Berdad recently sold only to private clients and celebrities, so this capsule collection is very unique.
“This capsule collection can only be found in my store,” she said. “He doesn’t sell to other stores.”
Regarding plans for the future, Mrs. Drummer discussed a new to-do list and some goals she would like to achieve.
“I want to visit Paris and Milan and shop there and have those clothes in my store for my customers,” the owner said.
Additionally, when asked about expanding the store to multiple locations, Mrs. Drummer said: There are so many great places in the world that it would be nice to have a second or even a third place for her. ”
The owner explained that he personally curates the store by collecting clothes he loves and hopes his customers will like it.
“I opened the store with items that I love and want to wear. As I get to know my customers better, I hope to ultimately buy items that they will love.”
Mrs. Drummer’s optimism was evident when she explained that she was excited to see her store evolve and believed it could get better from here.
From coordinator of fashion events to store owner, Mrs. Drummer keeps fashion circulating in her life and says, “I’m really happy with where I’m going.”
