NBA All-Star Weekend takes place this weekend in Salt Lake City, pitting two former Auburn stars against each other. Jabari Smith Jr. and walker kessler will battle each other in the Kia Skills Challenge on Saturday night.
The event consists of three teams of three players competing in four rounds that test their ability to dribble, pass and shoot. Smith joins Orlando’s Paolo Banchero and Detroit’s Jaden Ivey on the rookie team. Kessler is on his Jazz team alongside Jordan Clarkson and Colin Sexton.
The final team will consist of three Antetokounmpo brothers: Giannis, Alex and Thanasis. The two teams with the most points will advance to the finals.
Kessler had a great rookie season with the Jazz, averaging 8.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. Smith averaged 11.9 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Rockets.
The event is set to start at 7:00 PM (CT) and will air on TNT.
