The Jamestown Sun has won 39 news and advertising awards in its annual North Dakota Best Newspaper Contest for 2022. The award was presented on May 12 at the North Dakota Newspaper Association Convention in Devil’s Lake.
This competition recognizes excellence in various aspects of newspaper journalism in 2022.
The Sun participates in the multi-day small newspaper category. The other five papers in this category are Devils Lake Journal, Dickinson Press, Valley City Times-Record, Wahpeton Daily News and Williston Herald.
The Jamestown Sun won third place in the General Excellence category, which measures all aspects of newspapers. The Sun won second place for Best Website and Special News in its annual Progress Edition of “Jamestown Has It,” which features small businesses in Jamestown. The Jamestown Sun also won him third place in the Overall Design Excellence Award.
