Life Skills class at Jersey Shore High School joined Trout in their Year 7 classroom quilt exchange program. Machmer’s class raises rainbow trout as part of the TIC program through her partnership with the PA Fish and Boat Commission and her Trout Unlimited. At Trout Unlimited, students are learning about cold water conservation and raising and releasing rainbow trout. In the quilt program, students design quilt squares and exchange them with other her TIC classrooms around the United States. “A special thanks goes to Janna Riggle, a high school English teacher, for assembling all seven quilts that hang in her classroom. I am grateful.” Release said.
