Josh Duhamel prepares for the worst, but hopes for the best.

The “Shotgun Wedding” star is about to relocate the Hollywood Hills to a quieter location: the site of a cabin in the woods.

And he says living in the wilderness has prepared him for whatever life throws at him.

“I guess I’ve become a bit of an end-of-life prepper.” Duhamel told inverse. “I’m building something so I have a place to take my family if things go wrong.”

The 50-year-old said he is learning how to fish and honing his hunting skills to catch his own dinner.

Initially, his property “had a small hut in the woods with no electricity or running water,” he told the media.

But when the property next door hit the market, he felt he had to buy it.

The actor, who is married to model Audra Mari, revealed that a desire to learn off-grid skills arose in case he “would cause trouble for his fans” in his hometown.

“I have an obsessive obsession with what happens when a fan is shocked in Los Angeles, and I have to take my family out there and live there,” he said.

“We believe we can live on the land. We’re not very good at it yet, but we’re getting there.”

Duhamel has a nine-year-old son, Axel, with ex-wife Fergie, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2019.

He married Mari, 29, in a stunning North Dakota wedding last year.

Former pageant queen and “Won a Date with Tad Hamilton” actors began dating in 2018 after the latter. Split from Diva Black Eyed Peeaged 48 in 2017.

Duhamel has maintained a good relationship with Fergie, and she even congratulated her ex-husband on his engagement.
