Josh Duhamel hasn’t been rough lately.After appearing in a popular soap opera All My Childrenthe actor has continued to star in everything from. transformers movie Netflix short-lived super hero series Jupiter’s Legacy. But when Duhamel isn’t in Hollywood, he likes to spend his time living off-grid in a cabin in North Dakota. The building, which began as a small hut without running water, has grown into an entire lakeside property, where the actor believes he can survive forever.
‘I feel a little prepared for the end of life,’ says Duhamel reciprocal.
To be clear, Josh Duhamel isn’t predicting the end of the world anytime soon.he is currently promoting his new movie Buddy Games: Spring Awakening, is the sequel to the original dudebro comedy he directed and starred in. The film is semi-autobiographical and inspired by real-life competitions hosted by him and his friends. Sometimes in cabins.
“The whole intention behind the first movie and this one was just to have fun. I wanted to make an unapologetic, intense comedy like that,” Duhamel said, adding that he was inspired by Todd Phillips and the Farrelly brothers. “Those guys don’t throw punches.”

“We just wanted to find humor without being mean in the extreme awakening of the world,” says Duhamel. “It’s hard to enforce this line because we don’t want to offend people, but people feel like they shouldn’t take themselves a little less seriously.”
Duhamel may not want audience acceptance buddy game Too serious, but the actor is clearly serious about preparing for the possible end of the world.
“I’m learning how to hunt. I’m fishing,” says Duhamel. His terminally ill cabin even has Starlink internet and a custom water filtration system. “I’m building something so I have a place to take my family if things go wrong.”

So tell me about this hut…
i have a tractor I have skid steer. I am changing tires. I am changing the oil. I’m fixing things. I am moving soil and flipping stones.
There is a two mile road through the woods to get there. I feel like my blood pressure drops by 25 percent when I look at that lake.
what is the source material?
It started in a small hut in the woods with no electricity or running water. We go, but one day or he didn’t want to stay more than two. You can see that rats have run over there. It was disgusting.
Then the shed on the lot next door was put up for sale and I bought it for practically nothing. This beautiful little idyllic floating hut. Suddenly you have 54 acres of land. So I had two huts, one of which had no electricity or running water. Both now have wells and electricity, but both are very small.
We shaped the land; We made a way through it. I’m actually growing crops in the field.

what kind of crop?
Well, we started with clover, chicory, etc., but mainly to feed the deer. It was my first experience in my life to clear the land, plow it and sow the seeds. I plan to grow pumpkins and corn this year.
Why would you want to feed the deer?
It’s called a food plan. My idea is that I want to be able to hunt deer. I’m no hunter by any means, but I have an insane obsession with what happens when something hits a fan in Los Angeles and I have to bring my family and live on the land.
I think I’m becoming a bit of an end-of-life preparer. That’s why I’m learning how to hunt. I have a well. There is water. We have fuel. I’m building something so I have a place to take my family if things go wrong. And we believe that we can live on that land. We’re not very good at it yet, but we’re getting there.
It keeps my lizard brain active.
How long can you survive without additional supplies?
In other words, you can make a living just by fishing.
So indefinitely?
Eventually you will need fuel and you will also need bread. I don’t make bread.
We’re deep in the woods, so when these things are gone and the snow piles up, especially in winter, all of a sudden we’re Jack Nicholson. Shining.
How did you begin preparing for the end times?
I read a book called Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse A few years ago, I was a bit taken aback.
And then there were movies and books about them having small communities where everyone had their own specialty. One was weapons, one was canning, one was construction, one was medical. And if you don’t have anything to bring to the group, you’re out. I’m not that crazy about it, but it’s comforting to know that I can live outside.

So do you have one of those skills?
I am working on those skills. I would never call myself an expert or a survivalist, but I am getting better.
You mentioned hunting. Are you also researching methods of dismantling animals?
Yes, that would be part of keeping deer. I have never shot a deer. I tried bows last year. It was a complete failure. I would love to learn how to actually dress a deer, take out the meat, freeze it, and feed it to my family if needed. It’s not something I did as an adult. I don’t like the idea of hurting animals, I really do. But if my family can eat it, I think it’s fine.
I know there is a well, but what about the water system? Did you design it yourself?
We currently have three wells. I had to dig one for each of the three huts. (I didn’t dig the well myself, but they did.) There is a pump at the bottom of the well that draws water, but you can do it manually. We are self-sufficient in water, which is great.
When it comes to filtering water, some are high in iron. If you take some of the water from the sprinkler, it will all turn red, so you’ll need some kind of filtration system. It has a reverse osmosis filtration system. Salted to make it easier to drink.

how about the toilet?
I recently got a real plumbing with a real flush toilet. Her first decade was a villa, but her wife didn’t love it. Going outside in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, especially when wolves and bears are everywhere. So, just for nostalgic reasons, I still think he has two villas.
Do you have TV and internet?
Now there is also a TV. The Internet is available thanks to Elon Musk’s Starlink.
It was actually great. I don’t know if you’ve tried Starlink, but it’s like high-speed internet, literally from outer space. As I said earlier, we are no longer desolate.
