A new trailer for The Wheel of Time season 2, episode 6 reveals what’s next for the show’s ensemble cast, especially Egwene. Season 2 of the series adapts the second book in the series, The Great Hunt, with some parts of other books also featured throughout. In season 2, episode 5, Egwene was captured by the Seanchan after Liandrin handed her, Nynaeve, and Elayne over to their leader.
Now, Prime Video has released a new trailer for The Wheel of Time season 2, episode 6 on the show’s page. The trailer sees Egwene fighting for survival as the Seanchan try to break her down. The trailer also hints at a battle between Lan and other Warders, as well as more plans being made by other characters.
Egwene Will Be Facing A Dangerous Opponent
Season 2, Episode 5 revealed the Forsaken Ishamael and Seanchan commander Suroth are only a small part of the group’s budding empire. While the true leader of the Seanchan, Turak, demoted Suroth for her invasion of a small village, he later shows favor toward Ishamael after being gifted the Horn of Valere. Suroth also manages to get back into her leader’s good graces by giving him Egwene to be “tamed” into a powerful weapon for channeling.
The new trailer for season 2, episode 6 indicates Egwene will be enduring physical and psychological strain from pushing back against the Seanchan’s plans for her. With so many channelers under their control already, though, Egwene will have many challenges ahead. But, as Loial states in the trailer’s voiceover, Egwene may be strong enough to endure anything thrown her way.
Since Nynaeve and Elayne know Egwene has been captured, they may team up with their new Aes Sedai ally, Ryma, to pursue a rescue mission. This could also complete a character arc for Nynaeve after her emotional Arches experience, learning from the loss of her daughter to save Egwene. As the Seanchan continue to build as a powerful threat, The Wheel of Time will keep setting the stage for their next moves.
