Max Verstappen surprised his teammates with a daring overtake during the virtual 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
The Dutchman, who belongs to Team Redline in the world of online racing, started his stint at the weekend event in 7th place, but managed to move up to 5th thanks to two overtakes.
In the end he climbed up to second place and proved he wasn’t afraid to take the occasional risk by passing other cars along the way, gasping his teammates as they watched.
But Verstappen’s progress in the BMW GT3 car seemed to falter over the course of Saturday and Sunday night. The team was affected by connectivity issues and was forced to drop one lap behind the leaders in third place.
