Presenter Rukwesa Bulak can be seen stretching his arms in the air thinking he’s done with his segment, saying “okay”.
A video of a BBC anchor stretching during a live broadcast went viral on social media.
In the video, presenter Rukwetha Bulak can be seen finishing up the breaking news as she hosts the afternoon show. She then expects a pre-recorded segment to play.
But all of a sudden, the camera accidentally cuts in on her.
Blak can be seen saying “Okay” and stretching his arms in the air thinking the segment is over.
However, after realizing that she was still on the air, she gasped in shock, lowered her head, and began staring at the note.
Rukwetha Brac ❤️🩹
And since the floor didn’t swallow her, she was forced to continue. pic.twitter.com/QTpXN2FaYU— Death To All But Metal (@Green3383Green) May 5, 2023
Several Twitter users have reacted to the incident.
One user said Burak handled the situation “graciously” and showed humanity through the act of stretching.
In my opinion @LukwesaBurak very! Take it gracefully and show the humanity of all of us.

Another Twitter user wrote that no one can be a “good presenter” if they’ve never faced such a moment in their anchor work.
Let’s be honest…if you’ve never had at least one of those moments, you’re not a pro in your field😁 💪

In response to a clip shared by a user, Burak said:
Earlier, a video went viral of a Pakistani host on a local TV channel reading the news when a powerful 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit the region.
As the studio shook during the live broadcast, Anchor remained calm and continued the interview.
