A new year is an opportunity for a fresh start. Many people make New Year’s resolutions to get in shape, stick to a budget, or spend more time with their family. The start of a new year should mean a fresh start on the device you use more than any other. If your phone seems sluggish, there are a few things you can (and should) do to give it a fresh start.

1. Open Storage on your iPhone or Android device. Check for large attachments that take up space. These are videos and photos of text messages received since 2022. This iPhone probably has more than half of the attachments that can be deleted. Android recommends what should be removed to free up space.

2. Go through your old text messages and delete the unimportant ones.

3. Check which apps are using the most storage. Social media apps can take up a lot of space. Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram use spaces for no reason. The easiest way to free up that space is to delete apps. I deleted TikTok and 613 megabytes of data I didn’t need. After deleting the app, reinstall it and sign in again. You lose nothing and work faster.

4. Remove unused apps. Free ones in particular track your activity all the time and drain your battery.

5. Clear the cache, also known as history and data. Think of your cache as a junk drawer where lots of data ends up from searching and browsing. something that isn’t always necessary. Chrome browser shows clear browsing data under Privacy & Security.

In Safari on iPhone,[設定]>[Safari]Go to[クリーン履歴]When[Web サイト データ]look for You will need to sign in again to your logged in account. You actually have to do this every few months, but only some people do this.

We also recommend restarting your phone, backing it up to your computer, and changing your password. If your phone is really stuck with tons of junk you don’t need, you can backup your phone to the cloud or computer and then reset your phone using the backup you made.

This will make your phone run faster and remove all unnecessary stuff.
