LONDON (Reuters) – The World Health Organization Assembly on Wednesday passed a motion condemning Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, including attacks on medical facilities.
The motion passed 80 to 9, with 52 abstentions.
A Western-led motion presented at the UN agency’s annual assembly also called for an assessment of the impact of Russia’s aggression on the health sector.
There was no immediate reaction from Russia. Moscow has consistently denied targeting civilians in what it describes as a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
